Colombia Decaf

A fabulous decaf of caramel, apple, and spices. With all due respect, the best decaffeinated coffee you have ever had.

In the famous region of Huila in southwestern Colombia, around 50 small-scale farmers form the La Serrania group. In the mountains of the city of Pitalito, they cultivate the Caturra and Colombia variety. Each farmer first processes coffee individually. You can then reduce the caffeine when the coffee from all the peasants is gathered. The caffeine is carefully removed by steing the coffee beans and then lowering them into a fluid of water and ethyl acetate that binds to the caffeine. The ethylene acetate comes from fermented sugar cane and is also a naturally occurring substance in various fruit. Once the coffee has been taken out of the liquid, it vaporized again and dried before it is shipped.
