This timeless and elegant beverage has now taken its rightful place in the spotlight. There is no equivalent. In a Matcha, you get to experience the green tea leaves in their absolute entirety – smooth, vegetal and vibrant.
You’ll need:
- 1,5 g Modest Matcha
- 10 g cold water (optional, to reduce lumps)
- 70 g hot water (approx. 80 °C)
- Chasen Whisk
- Cup or Matchawan bowl
Method:
- Prep the bowl – Fill your matcha bowl about 1/3 full with hot water to warm it up. Soak the chasen in the bowl to soften the tips. Discard the water and dry the bowl.
- Mix the matcha – Add 1,5 g matcha to your bowl. Add 10 g cold water (optional) and mix to a smooth paste. Then pour in 70 g hot water.
- Whisk it right – Use the chasen in a brisk W-shaped motion to blend until frothy and smooth.
